 What?

Yeah, no one likes to post their less-than successful photos, but I have been trying to understand RF a bit more and for the life of me I cannot find good examples of RF images. A google search yields all kinds of images that people call RF.

I would post a few of my own if I knew what I was looking for.:p

How would you describe a successful photo?

I don't. I can't even describe one with RF...that is the reason for the thread, I suppose.:)

IIRC, RF is basically a result of long exposure. For black and white film, a photo where one didn't account for RF would be underexposed. For color film, a photo where one didn't account for RF would probably also be underexposed, but it would also have odd color shifts, because the color layers get different exposures.

For b&w, you would need a photo that was shot with an exposure time of a couple of minutes. For color it could be seen in a much shorter exposure. I don't give it much thought, because I rarely make long-exposure photos, but maybe what you're looking for are long-exposure color photos (?). I've seen such photos and the color shifts can get crazy.
